Glyndon Swim Club's updated COVID-19 plan for opening
Amid COVID-19 and these unprecedented times, we want to thank you for your patience as we prepare for the Summer of 2020 season at Glyndon Swim Club. We are saddened that we are not allowed to open this Memorial day weekend like we have done for the past 90 years.
In anticipation of opening, we have been resurfacing the shallow end of the pool, removing overgrown trees, sanding, painting, and cleaning up the facility. The board has been meeting regularly to discuss all possible opening options as dictated by the state and local governments. Our goal is to maintain the vitality of our historic pool club.
We hope to be opening the pool in the coming weeks. To give members as much benefit of their membership as possible, we are considering the possibility of extending the pool season beyond Labor day in September. We are also looking to put some other measures in place to provide our senior community with special hours for them to enjoy the pool.
We rely on membership to help our community thrive and we encourage you to continue to purchase your annual memberships as you have done in years past. We plan to reimburse your membership dues for any portion of days we be unable to be open this year due to this pandemic. We anticipate that we will need to limit memberships due to capacity restrictions and social distancing as dictated by the local and state governments.
The health and safety of our members, guests, and employees is and will be, our top priority. We will continue to listen to the guidelines and recommendations provided by our government and local health officials. We will continue to update the community through our website, Facebook and Instagram.
Thank you for being a loyal patron to Glyndon and our community pool.
