Letter from the President
Dear Glyndon Pool Members,
Having served as Vice President for the past three years, I am honored to begin my first year as President of the Glyndon Pool in 2026. This will also mark my 39th summer enjoying this special place with family and friends.
I became a member at just six months old, and many of my fondest childhood memories were made here—waiting eagerly for the gates to open each morning, spending long, sunny days playing with friends, and fueling our adventures with pizza bagels (a treat I still enjoy as much as ever). Today, I have the joy of watching my own three children create similar memories: learning to swim, summoning the courage to slide down the big slide for the first time, and forming friendships that will last a lifetime.
I know the Glyndon Pool holds deep meaning for so many of us, and I am committed to serving as a responsible steward of this cherished community treasure.
Running the pool requires tremendous effort and dedication. I am deeply grateful to our outstanding staff and to our friendly neighbors whose warmth and spirit make this place so extraordinary. I also want to extend my sincere thanks to all past and present board members, who selflessly volunteer countless hours to keep our pool thriving. In particular, I wish to recognize our immediate past President, Per Karlson, for his many years of devoted service and leadership. There is no question that the pool is in a stronger position today because of his efforts, and I hope to build on his momentum leave it even better when my term concludes.
